All my animals throughout life, have been numerous for sure, but I wouldn't change that for anything, they all had their
lesson for me.
First pet, Topper a beautiful cocker spaniel, always glad to see me.
My second pet, Zombie my wonderful horse, no I didn't name him, but what's in a name - he was wonderful with me as I
had to learn all about the care and feeding, and did I learn - this horse was gentle with me especially when learning how to
ride him, not too many problems and up until it was necessary to send him to a wonderful ranch where I knew he had the freedom
for the rest of his life, of course I was saddened deeply.
I have had cats all my life, all kinds - persians, angora and just plain ordinary wonderful meows whom truly loved me
too.
When my kids were little, especially Richard we had a variety of pets all around, tarantulas, white mice, snakes, lizards
- not too mention a couple of ducks that literally were the best watch ducks -
Oh there were many others too, they came and went but always loved it in our home. My last
two pets were the shelties, No. 1 Kelly, my helpmate and buddy for 14 years, and now Athena my buddy and pal.
Athena was with me 12 1/2 years and at the age of 14 1/2 she looked so pitiful and couldn't play withher frisbee (favorite
toy) anymore as one day we had a heart to heart conversation and the look in her eyes told me she really didn't want to leave,
also saw the immense pain she was going thru, so had to give her permission that it was okay to go, broke my heart but know
now she is happy and contented and feeling wonderful once again.
After awhile it was so lonely so made a trip to the pound and found this scrawny little pup whom had the most beautiuful
eyes and she got to me so I rescued her, made my day, especially since it appeared she wasn't going to be adopted unless it
was me. Lexi has filled out and finally come around a bit and is a beautiful little red dog who I know appreciates being
where she is now, thankyou God.
